Excellent pre-travel preparation is more than "just getting shots." The goal of the Sansum Clinic Travel & Tropical Medicine Center is to educate travelers from Santa Barbara county about how to avoid illness.
Travel Vaccinations
Sansum Clinic Travel and Tropical Medicine Center patients are seen by appointment. A typical consultation involves 30 minutes of face-to-face time with a board-certified physician to review the traveler's specific itinerary and the infectious risks associated with that trip. This includes insect transmitted illnesses such as malaria, yellow fever, dengue, and Japanese encephalitis, and food and water illnesses such as Hepatitis A, typhoid, polio, and traveler's diarrhea.
