The Sansum Clinic Nephrology Department (phone, fax, hours, directions) offers comprehensive evaluation of patients, age 14 and older, in kidney related areas. Our Nephrologists offer excellent comprehensive care, including all forms of dialysis, transplantation and treatment of kidney-related diseases to patients in the Santa Barbara area.
Nephrology Services
Our evaluation, diagnosis and treatment services include those kidney-related disorders such as:

- Dialysis
- High Blood Pressure
- Kidney failure
- Kidney stones
- Kidney transplantation
- Polycystic kidney disease (PKD)
Nephrology Referrals
Nephrology is a specialty department, so most patients are referred by their primary care physician.
Dialysis Treatment
Many patients who need dialysis treatment are directed to the Santa Barbara Community Dialysis Center, where full service hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis is offered. The department also cares for dialysis and transplant patients in Lompoc.
The Nephrology Department works closely with other specialty departments, including Urology and Endocrinology, to best serve our patients in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease.
