In this age of information explosion, seeking accurate, reliable health information is often challenging. Whether you're curious about a health condition, medical procedure or test, treatment options, nutrition, medications, or healthy living habits, we can help you locate health information that's credible, understandable and current. We have information on everything from community resources to advance directives, the common cold to the most unusual diseases. We can also help you register for our educational classes. The Health Resource Center is located at 215 Pesetas Lane on the first floor across from the laboratory. Visitors can utilize Internet kiosks and may take home a number of informational resources including a lending library of books, videotapes, CDs, DVDs and newsletters. If you don't have time to visit, call 805-681-7672 or use the "ask a librarian" form.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 9:00 - 4:00, Friday 9:30-12 noon, or by appointment.
The staff at the Health Resource Center is trained and knowledgeable. Privacy is respected and your concerns are always confidential. You will find a comfortable place to get your questions answered or to sit and talk with our friendly volunteers. We encourage you to share what you learn with your physician or healthcare professional so that she or he can help you evaluate what the information means for you. The Health Resource Center is the only comprehensive health library in the region that focuses its services on consumers. It's one more way Sansum Clinic is helping you take charge of your health.
